An Introduction to Slot Games
The slots are possibly the most favored games to gamble on at casinos. On any given night, count on most of the machines to be filled with eager players. They come in a good selection of playing levels; a few just cost $.05 a play and others can cost upwards of $20 a play. Although slot games are a gambling tool, a number of people are afraid of the high-dollar card tables and like the delight and excitement of a great slot machine.
The 1st slot machine was built in Eighteen Ninety Five and was called the "Liberty Bell." Invented by a California machinist, the initial slot machines had three reels with a cracked Liberty Bell, diamonds, hearts, and spades painted on each. Prior to this invention, the name "slot machines" was employed to describe different types of vending machines.
The first real across the board use of one armed bandits in American betting houses is attributed to the Flamingo Hotel, Sin City somewhere around the 40’s. The owner of the betting house had initially thought the slot machines would be awesome to intrigue bored wives of a few of the biggest high roller customers of the casino. Little did he know that slot games would be a fun game for almost everyone and that the allure would go beyond the the bored wives. At this time, it is said, slot machines comprise in excess of 2/3rds of all money generated by American brick and mortar casinos.
Slots absolutely have a rich history. From the petite invention of the late-19th century to the multi-million dollar business of today, slot machines will continue to grow in popularity.
